• Tell us about your company.
  ClearPivot is a digital marketing agency founded in 2009. We build and grow measurable marketing assets that generate nonstop returns to transform Marketing Directors into heroes…even if they believe that no one else can understand their company as well as they do.

• What makes your team unique?
  Many marketing agencies seem to operate in a perpetual state of chaotic, “putting out fires” mentality.  The world of marketing and digital media is a fast-changing place, and it’s easy to get shiny-object syndrome and just spin your wheels endlessly. In contrast, many of our clients (and our own employees) have told us that the biggest difference they notice with us compared to other agencies is our structured, disciplined process. We put a strong focus on executing clear, measurable and focused campaigns rather than endlessly chasing bells and whistles. Our clients and team members very much value this disciplined and clear-thinking approach.

• What is a piece of valuable branding (or marketing) advice do you think businesses in 2019 should be most aware of?
  Much of the hype cycle around social media platforms over the last 10 years is now fading. People have come to see the risks of putting all their marketing efforts into platforms like Facebook or Instagram or Snapchat, where the platform has all the control and you are completely at their mercy. In contrast, the long-time channels of organic search (SEO) and maintaining a strong email list continue to be some of the most continually effective places to focus your efforts. For SEO, you should not focus on blasting out boatloads of cheap keyword-stuff content. You should instead focus on building your site around topic clusters and pillar content.

Our approach towards natural headshots: Clear Pivot is a company within the service industry that needs to sell their skills, not a visible, upfront product. Their clients and future clients need to invest a large amount of trust upfront. We believe the right headshots can do this. We used an approach towards photographing them that provided a natural headshot to allow for as much personality to flow through their images as possible. In the marketing world, where trust is a huge factor, we saw the need to show Clear Pivots clients just how wonderful they are.
